Philco Model TP-5 Table Radio (1939)
This interesting radio covers the broadcast band plus the old police band. If you click on
the image to enlarge it, you can just see the dial markings for the police band below the
dial pointer. The band switch is at the rear. Notice that this model does not have the
name Philco anywhere on the front. The name Transitone however was recognizable as
a Philco mark. On models for later years, the naming would be changed to be "Philco"
or "Philco Transitone"
